Perhaps you have or could find a large cloth purse to use…:)
Believe it or not, I found one at the local hardware store (I live in a small town too). Or you can make one from an empty ice cream bucket. Just detach one end of the handle to hang it on the line and then reattach it. Instant clothes pin bucket!
have you tryed a hardware store or even make your own if your handy with a sew machine.ive seen some nice ones at a hardware store.
Get a HEAVY coat hanger. Find a child’s dress, about a size 3, that buttons up. Long strip of buttons all the way to the waist works best.
Put the hanger in the dress and stitch along the top to secure the hanger. Sew the top button closed.
Sew the bottom of the skirt closed. You can either do this first with the dress inside out or you can turn it under with rightside out and top stitch.
It’s cheap and easy enough to last the whole season and toss, then make a new one for the next.
With a heavy vinyl coated metal hanger, you can bend the hanger hook closed over the line so it stays outside, or you can carry it in an out on laundry days. Match the dress to your decor and it looks cute hanging by the back door.
The ice bucket that Starlight suggested works great. My mom used one all the time when I was young. Another suggestion is make your own bag. Then you can have the size you want.
Why not make your own; it should be fairly simple;
Make a bag; Put it over a clothes hanger; cut a hole in the top where the hanger can go through, then cut a hole in the middle and sew up the hole opening with bias tape.
Even if you don*t have a sewing machine it can be done by hand. the time you spend making one is well spent rather than running around looking for one.
Make one of your own: has a “Wash Day Clothespin Bag” pattern which is cute and easy. I made one.
OR, you can make a bag of just about any kind and add a peice of velcroe to attach the handle over the clothes line.
I love to hang clothes too–smell so fresh!
